Permissions for Knowledge Assistant via Facebook Message
Knowledge Assistant allows you to Update your holiday hours, add photos, and respond to reviews — all right from Facebook Messenger. Enabling Knowledge Assistant grants the Knowledge Assistant permission to communicate with a user through Facebook Messenger. Once Knowledge Assistant is enabled, the Knowledge Assistant can message you at any time. If you do not wish to receive communications from Knowledge Assistant, you may opt out in the Personal Settings section of Account Settings in your Yext account.
By communicating with the Knowledge Assistant, Facebook allows Yext to access fields in a user’s Public Profile. Yext stores the ‘Name’ field, which is displayed in the Personal Settings section of Account Settings in Yext. It is only visible to the user who set it up. Additionally, Yext logs chat history between you and the Knowledge Assistant.
