If you use Listings, you have the ability to leverage tracking tags on two separate levels – Fields and Publishers. For more information about tracking tags, see the Tracking Tags reference documentation.
Fields
Tracking tags can be added to any entity field that accepts a URL, including:
- Website URL
- Reservation URL
- Menu URL
- Order URL
- Delivery URL
- Custom URL fields displayed on Pages
For more information about managing and applying embedded fields at scale, see Apply Embedded Fields.
Publishers
For Google Business Profile, Facebook, Yelp, and Bing, you have the flexibility to override field mappings and sync different URLs with tracking tags on a publisher-specific level. For more information see, Manage Publisher Configurations.
There are three steps to manage tracking tags:
Step 1: Create a Tracking Tag
- Generate your tracking tag with Google’s Campaign URL Builder.
Step two differs depending on if you want to add your tracking tag to a built-in field or a custom field.
