Listings Configuration settings determine which publishers your listings are opted into, as well as how each of those publishers should handle automatically updating and/or creating listings.
Listings Configuration settings can be specified for the following publishers:
- Apple
- Yelp
- Generative AI Publishers (i.e., OpenAI)
- The extended publisher network
For each of these publisher options, you can enable or disable the following settings:
- Automatically Opt-In: When this is enabled, all entities that are subscribed to Listings will automatically have their listings opted-in to the selected publisher.
- Update Listings: When enabled, any updates made to listings in Yext (i.e., by editing entity data) will be automatically applied to publishers.
- Create Listings: When enabled, Yext will create new listings for any entities that are subscribed to listings and do not already have a matching listing on the publisher site.
Note: These settings apply globally to all listings on the Yext account.
To update your Listings Configuration settings:
- Click Listings in the navigation bar and click Configuration.
- Click the toggles to enable or disable any settings as desired. Note that these will apply globally to all listings on your Yext account.
If you use any alternate brand names to match your business to listings on publisher sites, you can also manage that here.
- Click the Alternate Brand Names dropdown under the Matching section.
- Choose the field that stores your alternate brand name. When searching publishers to match existing listings, Yext will also use the data in the selected field to match your business's name.
- To configure alternate brand names, you will need to create a custom field on your entities to store this information. To create a custom field, see Create a Custom Field.
