Create a Custom Analytics Report

Who does this article apply to?

  • Enterprise, Partner, and Small Business accounts.
  • Accounts in all regions.

Use Report Builder to create custom analytics reports with any combination of metrics and dimensions available in your account. Reports can be saved, added to dashboards, and exported for sharing.

To Create a Custom Analytics Report:

  1. Click Analytics in the navigation bar and click Report Builder.
  2. Click on the + Add New Report button.
  3. Select your desired Time Range. The default is the last 14 days.
  4. (Optional) Click + Comparison to Previous and select a time period to compare your selected date range to.
    • Note: This option is not available for all metrics and cannot be used when selecting multiple metrics.
  5. (Optional) Click + Add Metric to add additional metrics.
    • Note: If any Metric, Dimension, or Filter is not clickable, it is not available within the parameters you have selected.
  6. (Optional) Click + Add Dimension to add an additional dimension.
  7. (Optional) Click Add Filter to apply a Filter.

Choose a Chart Type

After configuring your report, select a chart type from the options on the right side of the page to change how the data is displayed. Available chart types include tables, line charts, and bar charts, depending on the selected metrics and dimensions.

Configure Table Sorting and Ranking

If you selected a Table Chart:

  1. Click + Select Column and select the column you would like to sort by.
  2. Select Ascending or Descending sort order.
  3. Select the checkbox next to Add Columns to Show Rank to add ranking to the table.
  4. (Optional) Select the checkbox next to Show Total Row to add the grand total to the bottom of the table.
  5. Click Apply Changes.

Save a Report

  1. Click Save to Your Saved Report to save your report and select one of the following from the drop-down menu:
    • Save to Your Saved Reports (just visible to you)
    • Save to Account Reports (visible to all users)
  2. Enter a name for your report, and click Save.

Add a Report to a Dashboard

  1. To add this report to a new or existing Dashboard, click Add to Dashboard. 
  2. Enter a name and description for your insight. 
  3. Select the dashboard you would like to add the insight to, or select the checkbox if you would like to replace the insight you just created with an existing custom insight.
