Holiday Hours allow you to specify business hours on days with an irregular schedule, such as holidays or special events. Once saved, holiday hours automatically revert back to regular hours after the specified dates pass.
Add Holiday Hours in Entity Edit
Use this method to add holiday hours to a single entity or a small group of entities directly in the Knowledge Graph.
- Navigate to Knowledge Graph > Entities and click the entity you want to edit.
- To edit multiple entities at once, select the checkboxes next to the desired entities, then click More Actions > Edit.
- Click Business Details in the left sidebar.

Click the Hours (Holiday Hours) field.
Note: Do not use additional hours fields (e.g., Pickup (Holiday Hours) or Delivery (Holiday Hours)) to update holiday hours on listings. Those fields are best used for Pages.
- Click the calendar icon and select the desired date.
- Click Open and select the option that best represents your hours for that day:
- Open: Enter the specific hours.
- Split: Enter two or more sets of hours. Click + Add an interval to add additional intervals.
- Regular Hours: Use if the hours are the same as your normal schedule.
- Closed: Mark the location as closed for that day.
- Click + Add Another to add additional dates.
- Click Save.
Upload Holiday Hours in Bulk
For large numbers of entities, holiday hours can be uploaded via spreadsheet using two tools: Entity Upload or the Upload Holiday Hours tool. They have different formatting requirements and capabilities, outlined below.

Method 1: Entity Upload
Entity Upload is the same spreadsheet upload process used for other entity data. It supports multiple time intervals per day and both CSV and Excel formats.
Format Your Spreadsheet
Only include dates where hours differ from normal business hours. Do not include blank cells. Entity Upload will not accept them.

Include the following columns in your upload file. Repeat the Date and Time columns for each additional holiday date:
- Entity ID
- Hours > Holiday Hours > Date
- Hours > Holiday Hours > Time

Upload Steps
- Navigate to Knowledge Graph > Entities and click Add Data.
- Select Entity Upload.
- Click Choose File to select your spreadsheet.
- If using a saved upload configuration, select it from the dropdown. Otherwise, leave No, this is a new spreadsheet selected.
- If uploading data in a language other than your account default, select it from the dropdown. Click Continue.
- On the Configure File step, map your columns to the relevant Holiday Hours fields. Apply any data cleansing rules and click Continue.
- To map a column to a field manually, click the Map this Column dropdown menu, type the name of the field to map to, and select it from the menu.
- If any columns contain multiple time intervals (e.g., "9 am-12 pm,1 pm-5 pm") click on the mapped field and uncheck the Comma checkbox.
- This prevents the upload tool from treating the comma as a delimiter and allows both time intervals to be applied to the same day.

- Apply any other data cleansing rules or additional actions and click Continue.

Method 2: Upload Holiday Hours Tool
The Upload Holiday Hours tool is a dedicated tool with a simpler flow but more limited formatting support.
Limitations
The Upload Holiday Hours tool has some different formatting requirements from Entity Upload. The differences and limitations are as follows:

| Blank cells | If a cell is blank, the holiday hours will be set to the current hours for the day of the week the holiday is on. |
| Closed | If a location is closed on a certain day, input "closed". The Upload Holiday Hours tool will not accept "x". |
Spreadsheet Formats
The tool supports two formats. You can download a template for each during the upload process.

Upload Steps
- Navigate to Knowledge Graph > Entities. Click the More Actions dropdown and select Upload Holiday Hours.
- Review the formatting requirements, choose your file format, and upload your file.
- Select Days in columns or Days in rows to see a preview of each format.
- Click Download template next to each format example to download an example spreadsheet.
- Click Choose File to upload your file, then click Continue.
- Review your changes. Any rows with past dates or unrecognized Entity IDs will be skipped.
- Click Apply. A modal will confirm your updates.
