Knowledge Nudges are notifications sent by Knowledge Assistant to prompt the primary contact on an entity to update certain information.
You can send a one-time nudge, or you can set up Nudge Rules to periodically remind users to update content.
Before you start
In order for a user to be able to receive a Knowledge Nudge, they must have completed these steps:
- Received an invite to Knowledge Assistant and accepted the invite, or
- Set up Knowledge Assistant for themselves
There must also be a primary contact assigned to an entity, with Knowledge Nudge interactions enabled, in order for Knowledge Nudges to be sent for that entity.
Resellers:
- To create a Knowledge Nudge for one sub-account, click into the desired account and follow the steps below.
- To create a Knowledge Nudge for all of your sub-accounts, click Your Dashboard in the top-right corner, then click Take me to my account at the bottom of the page and follow the steps below.
Create a one-time nudge
To create a one-time Knowledge Nudge:
- Click the Account Details icon in the bottom left corner of the navigation bar. From the menu, select Account Settings.

Scroll down to the Knowledge Assistant section and click Nudges.

Click on the Create New Nudge button in the top right corner. In the modal, select the Send Now (One-Time) option.
- After selecting Send Now, a dropdown menu will appear for you to select an entity type. Choose the entity type you'd like to create a nudge for.
- After selecting an entity type, another dropdown will appear to select the field you'd like to create a nudge for.
- Under Provide a name for this nudge, enter a name, and click Send Nudge.
- Click OK on the modal that appears to return to your Nudges page.
Create a nudge rule

- Under Account Settings > Knowledge Assistant > Nudges, click on the Create New Nudge button in the top right corner.
- In the modal, select the Set Up a Rule (Recurring) option.
- Select the entity type and field you'd like to create a recurring nudge for.
- After choosing your entity type and field, a dropdown menu for Frequency will appear. Choose how often you'd like to send this nudge.
- Under Provide a name for this nudge, enter a name, and click Send Nudge.
- Click OK on the modal that appears to return to your Nudges page.
View and manage nudges
You can view all your past one-time nudges and recurring nudge rules on the Nudges page (under Account Settings > Knowledge Assistant > Nudges).
Click the Nudge Rules tab to view recurring nudges, or the One-Time Nudges tab to see one-time nudges that have already been sent.
To edit or remove recurring nudges:
- Click on the Nudge Rules tab.
- To edit a nudge, click the Edit button on the right of the nudge.
- To delete a nudge, click the dropdown arrow on the right of the nudge and select Delete.
