When a third-party review is deleted from a publisher site, Yext detects the deletion and marks the review's status as Removed in the platform. By default, the review remains in Yext with this Removed status. You can change this behavior so that deleted reviews are permanently removed from the platform instead.
Note: This setting applies to third-party reviews only. For information on removing first-party reviews, see Manage First-Party Reviews.
Update Deleted Review Behavior
- Click the Account Details icon in the bottom left of the navigation bar and click Account Settings.
- Click Compliance.
- In the Removed Review Behavior section, select your preferred option.
- Click Save.
If you select permanent deletion, a confirmation dialog appears. Click Delete Removed Reviews to confirm. This setting applies to all future deletions as well as any reviews currently marked as Removed in the platform.
Note: If an entity is subject to GDPR, removed reviews on that entity are always deleted from the platform immediately, regardless of this setting.
