If you manage healthcare entities, you can configure how Yext handles reviews that contain personally identifiable information. This setting controls whether PHI is masked in reviews or whether reviews containing PHI are removed from the platform entirely.
Update HIPAA Privacy Settings
- Click the Account Details icon in the bottom left of the navigation bar and click Account Settings.
- Click Compliance.
- Select your preferred HIPAA setting:
- Replace PHI in reviews with [omitted]: reviews remain in the platform but sensitive information is masked. For example: "My name is [omitted], the doctor I saw was fantastic."
- Remove reviews with PHI entirely: reviews containing PHI are removed from the platform and display as [Review Removed for PHI].
- Click Save.
Note: The quarantine period for first-party and external first-party reviews on healthcare entity types begins after the review has been de-identified.
