AI Search Performance is a set of four metrics that measure the success of your brand within AI-generated search results. The metrics are based on general online sentiment AI discovers about your brand or answers to unbranded queries relevant to your brand. An unbranded query does not mention your brand specifically but is relevant, for example “Bank near me.”
Scout analyzes data from Gemini, Claude, ChatGPT, and Perplexity. To see more information about a metric, click See Details.

AI Rank
Your AI rank shows your brand’s average rank in AI search results for unbranded queries for the selected locations. A lower rank means you’re ranking higher in search results.
Click See Details to get a percentage and graphical breakdown of how many locations are in which rank or ranking range, and how your AI rank changes over time.
AI Visibility Score
Your AI Visibility Score shows how often AI models mention your brand when answering unbranded queries for the selected locations. The score is a percentage of the total number of answers, and the higher the percentage, the better. For example, a score of 79% means that AI models include your brand about 79% of the time when answering relevant, unbranded queries.

AI Brand Sentiment
Your AI Brand Sentiment shows how often AI models refer to your brand positively, neutrally, or negatively for the selected locations. For example, a higher percentage of positive sentiment suggests the AI model found a lot of favorable opinions about your brand online and has learned that your brand reputation is generally positive.

AI Citations
The AI Citations tile shows what sources Al models use most and least frequently to answer unbranded user queries related to your brand. This data can provide insight into where you might need more or better information related to your brand. You can access the tile in both the Map View and the Visibility Report.
