Download the Scout by Yext App
Apple iOS Devices
Follow these instructions to download and install the Yext Mobile app for iPhone and iPad:
- Tap on the App Store application on your iPhone or iPad.
- Search for Scout by Yext.
- Tap on the app from the list of search results.
- Tap Get.
- Double Tap to Install.
- Enter or validate your Apple ID credentials and select OK, if applicable.
Android Devices
Follow these instructions to download and install the Yext Mobile app for Android:
- Tap on the Play Store application on your phone.
- Search for Scout by Yext.
- Tap on the app from the list of search results.
- Tap Install.
- Verify the purchase using your method of choice, and wait for the download to complete.
Access the App and Features
Once you finish downloading the app to your device, you will need to have an existing Yext login to access the app. If you do not already have a Yext login, you will need to get one set up. Reach out to your account team for assistance.
When you are logged into the app, you will only see products and features that are relevant to your account. For example, if you don’t have Reviews as part of your subscription, you will not have access to the Reviews tab of the app. This is similar to the functionality you would see on the desktop version of Yext.
User Permissions
User permissions must be set up in the desktop version of Yext. Within the mobile app, user permissions are honored and match the user's platform access. For example, if a user has the scope to manage one entity or location, they will only be able to make updates to that single location within the app.
Notifications and Alerts Prompt
When you log in to the app for the first time, you will also be prompted to set up notifications. If you want to receive notifications, you will need to accept registration terms on your device by clicking Allow.
You can always configure notifications within your device settings at another time.
