After sending invitations, track performance in Reviews > Generation > View Invites. This screen shows all sent and pending invitations and includes metrics to help you understand how customers are engaging with your invitations and whether they are resulting in reviews.
View Invites Table
The View Invites screen has two tabs: Sent Invites and Pending Invites. The Sent Invites table includes the following columns:
- Entity: the entity the review was requested for, with a link to the entity edit page
- Recipient: the name and contact information of the person who received the invitation
- Status: the current status of the invitation and the date and time it last changed. Statuses progress through the following stages:
- Requested: the invitation has been submitted but not yet sent
- Sent: Yext sent the invitation
- Opened: the recipient opened the email. This status is not available for SMS invitations.
- Clicked: the recipient clicked the review link in the invitation
- Reviewed: the recipient submitted a review via the link
- Review ID: the ID of the review submitted in response to the invitation
- Template: the template used to send the invitation
Key Metrics to Monitor
Success rate is the percentage of invitations sent that resulted in a review. A 2% conversion rate is typical for most businesses, though high-touch businesses often see higher rates. Monitor this over time to understand whether your invitation strategy is working.
Email and SMS conversion shows the percentage of recipients who progressed through each stage of the funnel — sent, opened, clicked, and reviewed. Use this to identify where customers drop off:
- If recipients are not opening emails, test different subject lines or reconsider when you are sending invitations relative to the customer interaction.
- If recipients are opening but not clicking, adjust the email body copy or the placement of the review link.
- If recipients are clicking but not reviewing, look at the review submission experience.
Average rating for generated reviews lets you compare the ratings of generated reviews against your organic reviews. Generated reviews tend to have higher average ratings than organic reviews, since customers with neutral or positive experiences are more likely to respond to an invitation.
