Action Center uses AI agents to draft actions on your behalf and agents can be tuned to fit how your brand operates. Out of the box, agents are configured with sensible default prompts. Adding more custom input to the prompts helps you with things like the following:
- Match your brand voice: Draft responses using whatever tone and style you specify. Without customization, it defaults to a generic, professional tone that may not reflect your brand.
- Filter for relevance: Tell agents to focus on specific types of content, such as only top reviews with certain keywords.
- Control localization: Tell the agent to make content more or less localized to your entities.
Configure an Agent
It is important to note that some actions have a Safety and Compliance Guardrails section written into their default prompt. This section provides an additional basic layer of protection for your brand. Do not delete this section. When editing a default prompt, it is recommended you keep the default prompt intact and add or edit information for your own tuning.
If you accidentally delete the Guardrails section or need to start fresh, don’t panic. Click Revert to default on your action configuration modal and the default prompt will reappear. Yext also has internal guardrails in place to help ensure your agents never create negative content on your behalf.
To configure your agents:
- In Action Center, go to the Agents tab.
- Select the agent (product area) you want to configure.
- Find an action you want to update and click Edit Configuration.
- Edit your prompt as needed and click Submit.
Prompt
Prompt changes apply to new actions only. They cannot rewrite drafts that are already pending in your queue.
