The Optimization page is where you can act on the optimization recommendations you added for selected queries on the Query Insights page. Your Optimization Plan at the top of the page automatically pulls together queries, segments, and tasks that are part of the current optimization pipeline.
Your tasks are visible in the table and are filterable based on type, as defined below:
- Create On-Site Content - create a new article for your website
- Refresh On-site Content - get recommendations for how to improve an existing page by filling identified gaps
- New Off-Site Content - create content on third-party platforms AI engines cite frequently
- Update Off-Site Content - have your brand added to existing third-party pages that are already influencing AI answers for your targeted query
To complete a task involving updating existing content, do the following:
- Click anywhere on the task row.
- In the sidebar, review the recommendation.
- Review the Key Insights from the GEO agents, which helps you understand how this recommendation will optimize this query.
- Review the Update Brief and record the changes you or your marketing team should make.
- Close the recommendation and complete the updates.
- When you are done with updates, find the task row on your list and change the Status to Mark as Complete.
To complete a task involving publishing new content, do the following:
- Click anywhere on the task row.
- In the sidebar, review the recommendation.
- Review the Key Insights section from the GEO agents, which helps you understand how this recommendation will optimize this query.
- Review the Recommended Content Brief outlining what the agent will generate for you.
- When you are ready to create content, click Generate Content at the top of the sidebar.
- Complete the setup steps by selecting things like language, length, and optional reference URL. The rest of the information is prefilled for you.
- Review the final summary and click Generate Content.
- Edit the content in the Content Studio.
- When updates are complete, find the task row on your list and change the Status to Mark as Complete.
