Relate uses leading encryption and cryptography practices across its desktop platform, mobile apps, integrations, and in the cloud. Messaging between Relate numbers remains within the Yext platform and is end-to-end encrypted. When communicating with non-Relate numbers, Relate uses the industry-standard SMS/MMS messaging protocol because it ensures the stable delivery of messages. However, SMS/MMS is not encrypted, making it visible to network carriers and other intermediaries.

Yext scans and archives all Relate messages for compliance purposes.

NOTE: Organizations using Relate's WhatsApp Integration can learn more about WhatsApp's encryption practices here.
