What Are Campaigns?

Yext Campaigns is an orchestration tool that automates Yext Email delivery, Social posts, and SMS texting on behalf of your entities. Campaigns let you build sequences of events that trigger automatically based on a schedule or, for Email and SMS, when a new contact has been added to a list. After a campaign is activated, you can access it from the Overview tab.

Automated vs Scheduled Campaigns 

There are two types of campaigns you can use based on your needs. 

Automated campaigns are triggered when a contact is added to a list. Use this template for evergreen information tailored to specific subsets of your contacts, like all contacts in a top 30 prospects list. You can use automate campaigns for both email and SMS.

Scheduled campaigns allow you to manually select which contacts and lists to send emails to on specific dates and times. Use this template for general or seasonal content you might want to send to all of your contacts or social media followers, such as tax season information. You can also use a scheduled campaign to send very specific information to a more nuanced subset of contacts that don’t all fit neatly together in your list structure.
