You can create and organize a variety of lists in the Knowledge Graph in the form of Menus, Products & Services, and Bios. Enhanced content lists (ECLs) are featured across many of the publishers within the Yext Publisher Network and can also be added to your website through Widgets or Pages.
Create an Enhanced Content List Manually

Click Knowledge Graph in the navigation bar and click Menus, Products & Services, or Bios.
- Note: In order to push your menu to your listings, you need to purchase Menu Listings. For more information, reach out to Yext Support or your Client Success Manager.
- To ensure menu data is passed to publishers, we recommend adding one menu per location. Menus can be separated by sections as needed.
- Click Get Started under Manual.
- If you do not see Get Started, click on the + Add New List button and select Create [Content List] manually.
- Enter a title for your list.
- Select which entity or folder this list will be applied to.
- If applicable, select the currency and language for your list
- These fields are only visible in accounts that have the Multi-language Profile feature enabled.
- Click Save and Continue.
- To prevent your list from being published until you’ve finished creating it, click on the Hide link in the upper-right corner.

Add a section (Recommended).
- Click on the Click to add a section name field.
- To add additional sections, click on the + Add a Section link on the left.

This step differs depending on which type of Content List you’re creating. Click one of the following buttons accordingly:
- + Add Menu Item
- + Add Item
- + Add Bio
- Enter details about your list item.
- Click Save or Save and add another.
- When you’ve finished creating your list, click on the Show button in the upper-right corner. Note, this is only relevant if you hid your list.
Create an Enhanced Content List via Spreadsheet Upload
- Click Knowledge Graph in the navigation bar and click Menus, Products & Services, or Bios.

- To ensure menu data is passed to publishers, we recommend adding one menu per location. Menus can be separated by sections as needed.
- Click Get Started under Upload a Spreadsheet.
- If you do not see Get Started, click on the + Add New List button and select Upload from spreadsheet.
- Click Download template. A dialog box appears.
- Select the type of file you want to download.
- Click Confirm Export.
- Once the template is downloaded, fill in the relevant information. Visit the next section of this article for a list of the fields in each template, as well as examples and reference notes.
- Click on the Choose File button to upload your spreadsheet.
- Click Continue.
- Review the changes, then click Upload all [content] in spreadsheet.
- Associate the list with entities.
- Click on your newly added list. Note, if you only have one list of this type you’ll automatically be directed to that list.
- Click on the Change link next to Entities: 0 in the upper-right corner.
- Select the desired entities.
- Click Save.
- Click Show in the upper-right corner to publish the content to your listings.
Update an Enhanced Content List via Spreadsheet Upload
- Click Knowledge Graph in the navigation bar and click Menus, Products & Services, or Bios.
- Click into the list you’d like to update.
- Click Export in the upper-right corner.
- Select the export format and click Confirm Export.
- Once the spreadsheet has downloaded, make the desired changes.
- Visit the next section of this article to see a list of all the fields, examples, and reference notes for each list.
- Upload your spreadsheet.
- Click on the Import link in the upper-right corner.
- Click on the Choose File button.
- Click Continue.
- Review the changes, then click Upload this [list].

Hide or Show an Enhanced Content List
Hiding an ECL temporarily removes it from listings and widgets without deleting it or removing entity associations.
- Click Knowledge Graph in the navigation bar and click Menus, Products & Services, or Bios.
- Click on the desired list (if applicable), then click on the Hide link in the upper-right corner.
- To hide lists in bulk: Select the checkboxes for the desired lists or select the Select all checkbox. Then click on the Select Action button and select Hide. A dialog box appears. Click Hide again to confirm.
- To make your list visible again, click Show.
Create an Enhanced Content List Widget
Enhanced Content List widgets allow you to automatically publish the information from the Products & Services, Bios, or Menus lists directly to your website.
Note: If you do not see this feature in your account, reach out to your Client Success Manager or contact Yext Support.
To create an Enhanced Content List Widget:
- Click Knowledge Graph in the navigation bar and click Widgets.
- Click Create next to the desired widget type.
- This step differs depending on how many entities and content lists you have in your account. Choose the appropriate option:
- One entity with one list:
- Continue to step 4.
- One entity with multiple lists of the same type:
- Click Create next to the desired list.
- Multiple entities:
- Select the desired folder or entity, then choose which list you would like to create the widget for, and click Next.
- One entity with one list:
- Select a color scheme under Choose your Theme. If you’d like to further customize your widget, click the Advanced button.
- Select an installation method. To learn more about each option, see Widget Installation Methods.
- Add the widget to the desired website.
Once you’ve added the widget, the content from the associated list will display on your website. This content will also dynamically update as you make changes to your content list.
