Images in the layout editor are managed through the Assets system. Rather than entering a URL manually, you select or upload images from your account's shared asset library directly in the properties panel. This gives you a consistent, reusable pool of images that can be applied across multiple sections and page groups.
Select an Image
When a section has an image property, the right panel displays a Choose Image button instead of a URL field. Click it to open the asset dialog, which shows all available image assets in your account.
The asset dialog currently shows image assets only — other asset types such as videos will not appear.
Reuse Images Across Sections and Page Groups
Any image in the asset library can be applied to multiple sections within the same page group, or across different page groups entirely. Selecting the same asset in multiple places does not create duplicate copies — all references point to the same underlying asset.
Upload a New Image
If the image you need isn't already in the library, upload one directly from the asset dialog without navigating away from the layout editor.
To upload a new image:
- Open the asset dialog by clicking Choose Image in the right panel.
- Click Upload and select the image file.
- Use the transformation options — including cropping and resizing — to adjust the image as needed. These are the same options available on the Knowledge Graph assets screen.
- After the upload completes, the image is immediately available for selection and added to the shared asset library for future use.
Knowledge Graph Images
For images that vary by location — such as storefront photos — map the image property to a Knowledge Graph image field rather than selecting a static asset. Knowledge Graph-mapped images update automatically when the entity's image field changes. See Map Section Properties for details on mapping properties to Knowledge Graph content.
