If your business operates by appointment only, you can keep your Google listing open without displaying your business hours.
This article explains how to remove your business hours and configure additional options for appointment-only businesses.
Remove the standard business hours
- Click Knowledge Graph in the navigation bar and click Entities.
- Click on the entity you would like to edit.
- To edit multiple entities at once, visit the Edit Entities in Bulk article.
- Click on the Hours field.
- Uncheck the box next to Specify hours.
- Click Save. A dialog box appears.
- Click Continue.
You can also do this via API by sending the null
value for every day of the week to the "hours" field and a value of false
to the "closed" field. For more information, see the Management API documentation.
Configure appointment-only options
These steps are optional, depending on your business's needs and offerings.
Add "Appointment Only" information
- Click on the Additional Hours Text field.
- Enter “By Appointment Only” into the text box and click Save.
Offer online and/or on-site appointments
- Navigate to the Google Business Profile Attributes section of the entity. (Note that this is separate from the Google Business Profile Fields section.)
- Click to expand the Service options field.
- Depending on your service offerings, click on the dropdowns next to Online appointments and Onsite services and choose the option that fits your business.
- To display that your business offers this appointment option, select Yes.
- If you would like to specify that your business does not offer a certain option, you can select No from the dropdown menu.
- You can also select Unspecified to simply not offer information as to whether or not that option is available.
