Yext scans publishers once a month to identify potential duplicate listings. You can view and take action to suppress potential duplicate listings in Yext at any time. Duplicate suppression is available for location-type listings only (e.g., Locations, Restaurants, Facilities, etc.) and may not be supported by all publishers.
You can also set up Listings email notifications for duplicate listings. To learn more, see Create Listings Email Notifications.
This article details how to suppress duplicate listings that Yext has detected. To learn how to submit a listing as a duplicate that has not been flagged by Yext, see Submit a Duplicate Listing.
If you are an Enterprise client and have the Managed Suppression service, your Yext Professional Services team will suppress duplicates for you.

Manage Duplicate Listings on Google and Facebook
If you see a duplicate listing on Google or Facebook and prefer to manage it directly through your accounts with those publishers, we recommend these options:
-
Merge duplicate business profiles: You can use this option if you own two separate Google Business Profile listings.
- If you do not own the duplicate listing, you can request ownership by following the instructions in Google’s Request ownership of a Business Profile help article.
- Learn more about how Google manages duplicate listings: Profiles marked as duplicate
-
Merge 2 Facebook Pages: You can use this option if you own two separate Facebook pages resulting in duplicate listings.
- If you notice a duplicate Facebook page owned by someone you know, you should work with the Admins of the page to get permission to manage the page and merge it. You will need to be an Admin on the account for at least one week before being able to merge pages.
-
How do I report an impostor account?: You can use this option if you believe someone is attempting to impersonate your business.
- If you have a Facebook representative, report the page to them. If the page does not comply with Facebook’s Page policies, it will be unpublished.
