Licenses are how Yext determines which subscription services (i.e., Listings, Reviews, Social, Pages) should apply to certain entities. Assigning a license to an entity makes it eligible for use with a Yext subscription.
This article explains how to manually assign licenses to entities in Yext. To assign licenses automatically based on preset criteria, see Automatically Assign Licenses to Entities with a Saved Filter. To remove licenses from entities, see Remove Licenses from Entities.
Assign Licenses to Multiple Entities
- Click Knowledge Graph in the navigation bar and click Entities.
-
Select the entities you want to add licenses to.
- You can select the checkboxes to the left of your desired entities, or apply a saved filter and select all entities in the filter.
-
Click More Actions at the top of the screen and select Add Services.
- You'll be brought to the Assign Licenses flow. Locate the type of license you want to assign and select either Subscriptions or Feature Packs.
- If you are adding a license under Subscriptions, select the checkboxes next to the licenses you want to add. Then, click Continue and confirm your choices to finish the Assign Licenses flow.
- If you are assigning a license under Feature Packs, choose your service operation and click Continue. Confirm your choices on the next step to finish the Assign Licenses flow.
- When finished, click Return to Content.
Assign a License to a Single Entity
You can also assign a license to one entity at a time from the Entity Edit screen. Click on your desired entity and scroll to the Licenses module. Click Assign More Licenses.
Check for Existing Licenses on Entities
To check if you currently have a license assigned to an entity, see the Subscriptions column in the Knowledge Graph. Entities with an active license will display the license name.
