Entity previews are the fields that are displayed when viewing a list of entities. You can customize your entity previews to display the most important information about your entities and manage entities more efficiently.
Entity previews can be configured for each entity type, and they can be customized for Row view and Card view in your entity search results.
By default, the Entities screen in the Knowledge Graph displays the name and entity type for each entity. You can customize your entity previews to change which fields display for each entity type.
To customize an entity preview:
- Click Knowledge Graph in the navigation bar and click Configuration.
- Click the Entity Types tile.
- Click on the View Details button next to the desired entity type.
- Click on the Preview tab.
- In the sidebar under Select View, select whether you would like to configure your entity preview in Card View or Row View by clicking on the corresponding icon.
- Note: Changes are not saved when switching between Row view and Card view. Remember to save any changes by clicking Save in the lower right.
- Select the fields you would like to display in your entity preview. You can display up to seven fields.

- To remove a field from the entity preview, deselect it.
- To reorder a field in the preview, hover over it. Click and drag the six-dot icon to the desired position.
- Some limitations include:
- Subfields of struct-like fields are treated as separate fields within entity previews. Each subfield counts as one of the seven total fields that can be added. The only exceptions are Address, Hours, and Daily Times type subfields, which will be rendered together as one field.
- You can only include one photo or video field in a preview.
- Edit the display settings for each field by hovering over it and clicking the gear icon. Choose your display settings from the dropdown menu. For example, you can:
- Show or hide the field name
- When you choose to show the field name, you also have the option to enter a field name alias. This can be used to help clarify or label the details of the field when it appears in entity search.
- If you decide to enter an alias for a field, you can also add translations by clicking + Add Translation.

- Fit will not crop the image.
