When building reports and dashboards in Yext Analytics, there are two main types of date ranges – standard and custom – that control what data is displayed in a report or a dashboard.
Standard Date Ranges
Standard date ranges are pre-defined time periods you can select in Report Builder and Dashboards. Each standard date range has two components: a date range length and an interval "end rule".
Date Range Lengths
This is the length of the date range expressed in calendar time. Examples of this include “Last 7 Days” and “Last Month.”
The following standard date range lengths are available:
- Last 7 Days
- Last 14 Days
- Last 30 Days
- Last 90 Days
- Last 4 Weeks
- Last 8 Weeks
- Last 12 Weeks
- Last 16 Weeks
- Last Month
- Last 4 Months
- Last 12 Months
- Last 13 Months
- Last Quarter
- Last 2 Quarters
- Last 4 Quarters
- Last 8 Quarters
- All Time
Interval End Rule
The interval end rule determines the last date of the selected range. Yext Analytics has three interval end rules:
| Interval End Rule | Description |
|---|---|
| Current | The interval ends in the current, partial period. |
| Whole | The interval ends in the most recent complete period. Whole weeks always start on Monday and end on Sunday. Whole days end at the end of the previous full day. |
| Completed | The interval ends in the most recent complete period that does not run past the relevant completed date for the metrics in the report. |
Completed Dates
A completed date, also called a watermark date, is the most recent date for which Yext has received complete data for a given set of metrics. Reports and dashboards that the Completed interval end rule automatically adjust their time window based on the earliest completed date among all the metrics in the report or dashboard.
For example, if a dashboard includes metrics with the following completed dates:
- Google Business Profile: July 2
- Google Search Keywords: June 30
- Extended Listings Network: July 3
All metrics on that dashboard would display data through June 30, the earliest completed date, to make sure all metrics cover the same time period.
View completed dates
In Dashboards, click View Completed Dates next to the "Data available through" indicator to see a table of completed dates for each data source on the dashboard. In Report Builder, completed dates appear below the date range selection.

Expected Data Lag by Publisher
The table below shows the expected data lag periods for each publisher. If data is delayed past the expected range, you should see an in-platform banner alerting you of the delay. If data is delayed past the extended lag period and you don't see a banner in the platform, contact your Yext account team.
| Data Source | Expected Delay (Days) |
|---|---|
| Activity Log, Search, Conversion Tracking, Pages, Reviews, Events | 1 |
| Apple | 3–6 |
| Bing | 14–28 |
| Extended Listings Network | 2–3 |
| 4–14 | |
| Google Business Profile | 7–14 |
| Google Search Console | 3–14 |
| Google Search Keywords | 30–35* |
| TripAdvisor | 3–14 |
*Note: Google Search Keywords data is aggregated monthly. Google does not return data for a given month until that month has ended. The expected delay is by the fifth day of the following month.
Custom Date Ranges
Custom date ranges let you specify a fixed start and end date. The data displayed covers the entire period between those two dates.
