This article provides detailed instructions on how to set up notifications to report on how the platform resources available in your account are being used. Such as user capacity, entity capacity, page views, and searches.

To create notifications for Platform Usage:

1. Click on the Account Details icon in the navigation bar and click Account Settings.
2. Click Notifications.
3. Click on the + Add Custom Notification button.
4. Click Platform Usage.
5. Select your notification content, either Platform Usage Summary or Resource Usage Summary.  
   • Platform Usage Summary: Creates a report showing the usage of your chosen platform resources over the course of the time period you select.
     1. If you select this option, click Select Resources and select the resource or resources from the drop-down menu.
   • Resource Usage Threshold: This will trigger a notification when a chosen usage threshold for a platform resource has been reached.
     1. If you select this option, click Select a Resource and select the resource or resources from the drop-down menu.
     2. Select your desired percentage from the list that appears.
        • Note: 103% is the maximum usage percentage, meaning your account has used 103% of its capacity for a given resource. If you select this option, you will be notified when the 103% usage threshold is reached, and when it has been maintained for longer than one week.
6. Select who you would like the notification to be sent to.
   • Note: Notifications sent to Yext users will display reviews based on the user's access level, while notifications sent to email addresses will include all available data.
     • If you select All Users or Specific User Roles, you can exclude certain users, by selecting the checkbox next to Exclude Users or User Roles. Then select the user from the list that appears.
7. Select your preferred delivery method.
   • In-Platform: Recipients will receive the notification in the platform. In-Platform can be seen by clicking on the Bell icon at the bottom of the navigation bar, next to the Account Details icon.
   • Email: Recipients will receive the notification via email. Email notifications can be configured by clicking on the Configure Email Settings link.
     1. Select your desired frequency.
     2. (Optional) Customize the subject line and body of the email.
        1. Select Customize email content.
        2. Enter your desired content into the Subject or Body text boxes.
           
     3. Click Save.
8. Enter an internal name for this notification.
9. Click Save.
