This article provides detailed instructions on how to set up email notifications for Reviews. Reviews email notifications can alert you of new first party reviews, as well as reviews across the Yext Knowledge Network.
You can also create notifications for Analytics and Listings. To do that, see Create Analytics Email Notification and Create Listings Email Notifications accordingly.
To create Reviews email notifications:
- Click on the Account Details icon in the navigation bar and click Account Settings.
- Click Notifications.
- Click on the Create New Notification button. A dialog box appears.
- Click Reviews.
- Select whether you would like the notification to include new reviews only, or new reviews, and updates to existing reviews.
- To receive email notifications about new reviews only, click New reviews matching all of:.
- To receive email notifications about new reviews, as well as updates to existing reviews, or updated Facebook comments, click New reviews, updates on existing reviews, new or updated Facebook comments matching all of:.
- (Optional) Select your desired filters. If you want to receive notifications for all reviews, don’t include any filters.
- Click + Add Filter.
- Select your desired filter from the drop-down menu.
- Click Next.
- Select the desired format of your notification.
- Select the desired frequency of the notification.

Note: If you select As the review or updates come, this will send a notification when the reviews are pulled into Yext system, which may be after the review is left on the publisher site.

- Select who you would like the notification to be sent to.
- Note: Notifications sent to Yext users will display reviews based on the user's access level, while notifications sent to email addresses will include all available data.
- If you enter an email address that is not associated with a user in the platform, you must press Enter on your keyboard to confirm the email address.
- If you select All Users or Specific User Roles, you can exclude certain users, by selecting the checkbox next to Exclude Users or User Roles. Then click into the text box and enter the first few letters of the user’s name or user role and select from the list that appears.
- Click Next.
- (Optional) Customize the subject line and body of the email.
- Click Customize email content.
- Enter your desired content into the Subject or Body text boxes.
- Click Next.
- Enter an internal name for this notification.
- Click Save Notification.
