This article explains the settings you can configure in Yext for content suggestions. To learn how to take action on individual content suggestions, see Review and Take Action on Content Suggestions.
Manage Suggestions settings
-
Navigate to Knowledge Graph > Configuration and click the Suggestions Settings tile.
-
Click on a setting to make changes. You can manage the following settings:
- Submission Locking: Prevent users from making edits to fields that have open content suggestions until the suggestion is approved or rejected. Content approvers can unlock and re-lock individual suggestions as needed to allow users to edit.
- Comment Attachments: Allow users to attach documents to comments on suggestions.
- Suggested Edit Versions & Show Changes: Allow users to view all versions of suggested content.
- Rejection Comments: Allow approvers to leave a comment explaining the rejection in order to reject a suggestion, and choose whether a rejection comment should be mandatory.
-
Suggestion Sources: Select which sources can suggest content edits. You can also choose to automatically opt-in to sources that might become available in the future. Sources include:
- User (users on your Yext account)
- Publishers (suggestions via publisher listings, e.g., external user feedback on address information. Supported publishers are Google, Apple, Facebook, Yelp, and Bing. This option will only appear for Listings customers.)
- App (suggestions via other third-party apps connected to Yext)
- Yext Employee (allow your Yext Account Team to submit content suggestions)
- Computed Field Values (always enabled; see the Computed Fields Overview reference for more information)
- Listings Mismatch (receive a suggestion when Yext entity data does not match data on a publisher listing. This option will only appear for Listings customers.)
-
Fallback Assignee: Select a user or user groups that suggested edits will go to if a user or user group is deleted from the platform.
-
- If your fallback assignee is deleted from the platform, the fallback assignee will be updated to “Unassigned” automatically.
-
Other settings
In addition to the settings on the Suggestions Settings screen, you can manage these features in Suggestions:
Suggestions notifications
To create notifications for content suggesters and approvers, see Create Knowledge Graph Notifications.
Flagged terms
Automatically apply an entity label if a content suggestion for that entity contains a certain term. Content approvers will see the label on any suggestion containing a flagged term.
-
Navigate to Navigate to Knowledge Graph > Configuration and click the Flagged Terms tile.
- Click Add New Term in the upper right. Choose the entity label you want to apply, the color of label the content approver will see, and the term corresponding to the label.
