Scheduled updates allow you to make changes to entities in Yext Content that will take effect at a specific date and time. Scheduled updates can be made on a single entity or in bulk on a set of entities. You can also preview, reschedule, and cancel scheduled updates at any time.
To create and manage scheduled updates:
- Click Content in the navigation bar and click Entities.
- Select the entity or set of entities you would like to edit.
- For more information on how to edit multiple entities, see Edit Entities in Bulk.
- Locate the Scheduled Updates box on the right side of the page and click on the + Add an Update link. A dialog box appears.
- Select the date and time that you would like to schedule the update to occur.
- By default, the time zone of the update will be set to Relative. You can keep this or select a time zone for the update to take place.
- Using a relative time zone means that your scheduled update will take place on the chosen date and time in the local time of your selected entity or entities. You might choose this option if your scheduled update pertains to an event such as a holiday, which will begin and end at different times globally.
- If you do not want to use relative time zones, select a time zone from the dropdown. This will apply your update at the chosen date and time in the specified time zone, regardless of the time zones where your selected entities are located.
- Click Continue.
- Click on the field you’d like to edit and make the desired changes.
- Click Schedule Update. A dialog box appears.
- If you’re making a temporary change, select Yes, schedule a revert on, and select the desired date. Otherwise, select No, don’t revert content.
- Click Save.
To see what your information will look like at a specific point in time, choose the desired date and time in the Scheduled Updates box. To reschedule or cancel an update, click on the appropriate fields and click Reschedule Update or Cancel Update accordingly.
