Scheduled updates allow you to make changes to entities in the Knowledge Graph that will take effect at a specific date and time. Scheduled updates can be made on a single entity or in bulk on a set of entities.
Some things to note:
- Scheduled updates cannot be made via the API.
- Scheduled updates are not compatible with content approvals. See Approve or Reject Suggestions for more information.
Schedule an entity update
- Navigate to Entity Search (Knowledge Graph > Entities) and select the entity or set of entities you would like to edit.
- For more information on how to edit multiple entities, see Edit Entities in Bulk.
-
From the Entity Edit view, find the Scheduled Updates module on the right of the screen.
- Click Add an Update.
- In the modal, select the date, time, and timezone when you want your update to occur. When finished, click Create.
- By default, the timezone will be set to Relative. Scheduling a relative update will apply the update at the selected date and time in the local time of your selected entity or entities.
- If you do not want to use relative timezones, select a timezone from the dropdown. This will apply your update at the chosen date and time in the specified timezone, regardless of where your selected entities are located.
- The Entity Edit view will reload. Make any desired changes to fields and click Schedule Update when finished.
- You can also use scheduled updates to apply entity templates at a future date. After choosing the date, time, and timezone for your scheduled update, click the Select Action dropdown in the upper right of Entity Edit and select Apply Template.
- See Apply an Entity Template for more information.
- In the modal, choose whether you want to revert your scheduled changes back to the previous values at a future date.
- If you do not want to revert your scheduled update, select No, don’t revert content.
- If you’re making a temporary change, select Yes, schedule a revert and select the desired date, time, and timezone.
- Click Close on the modal. Refer back to the scheduled updates module to see your scheduled update.
