You can view and manage Google Business Profile administrators for your listings in Yext. This article explains how you can add Google admins to your listings in Yext by individual listing, or by entity.
Before you start
- Your Google Business Profile account must be linked with Yext. To link your account, see How to Link Google Business Profile.
- Google admins cannot be added to Event listings.
- In order to add someone as a Google admin, they must have a G Suite or Gmail email address. However, they do not have to be a user on your Yext account.
- Google admins can be added to listings in Yext, but they cannot be removed in Yext. If you want to remove a Google admin from a listing, you will need to do this in your Google Business Profile account.
Invite admins from entities
You can invite Google admins straight from your entities in Content, using the Admin Invitation Email field.
This allows you to leverage bulk editing options in Content to invite admins for multiple locations at once.
Note that with this method, you can only add one admin per entity. If you want to add multiple admins to the same listing, follow the steps under Invite admins from listings.
- First, you will need to enable the Automatically Invite Owners option under your Google publisher configuration. To do this, navigate to Listings > Publishers and select Google Business Profile.
- In the Configuration tab, click the Automatically Invite Owners feature and set it to On. Then, click Save.

On your location entities in Content, you should now see the Admin Invitation Email field.

You can invite Google admins individually, by bulk editing entities, or via spreadsheet upload. To invite an individual admin, enter their email address in the Admin Invitation Email field and click Save.
Invite admins from listings
You can also invite Google admins to individual listings. If you want to invite an admin to multiple locations at once, follow the steps under Invite admins from entities.
However, you can use this method to add multiple admins to the same listing.
- Navigate to Listings > All Listings.

Click on the dropdown arrow next to your desired Google Business Profile listing and select Manage Google Admins.

In the modal, click Invite New Owner.

Enter the email address of the person you’d like to invite into the text box. Then, click Add & Send Invitation.
Accept a Google admin invitation
When a user is invited to become a Google admin on a listing (using either of the methods above), they will receive an email invitation from Google Business Profile.
Click Accept in the invite email to become a Google admin for the listing.
View Google admin invitation statuses
You can view the status of Google admin invites on your listings.
- Navigate to Listings > All Listings.
- Click on the dropdown arrow next to your desired Google Business Profile listing and select Manage Google Admins.
- If Google admins have been added to that listing, their information will be listed. Check the Status column to see whether they have accepted their admin invitation.
Get pending Google admin notifications
To get notifications for pending Google admin invitations sent from your Yext account, you can create a Listings notification using the Pending Google Admin Invitations notification type. For more on creating Listings notifications, see Create Listings Notifications.
