When adding new entities in Yext, some publishers required additional steps before Yext can begin syncing listing data. For example, for Facebook, you must confirm which listing you would like to sync with or prompt us to create a new listing before we can sync your data to Facebook. This article walks you through the steps to identify which Facebook listing to sync to.
To identify Facebook Listings:
- Click Listings in the navigation bar and click Publishers.
- Click on Facebook in the list of publishers.
- Click Identify Listing next to the corresponding Facebook Listing that isn’t synced. A dialog box appears.
- The system will surface a list of pages that match your entity.
- Note: It is important that you only select a listing if you are confident that it represents your location and you are authorized to manage the data on the listing. Otherwise, follow the prompt below to create a new listing.
- Identify the correct match.
- To select a listing from the list of potential matches:
- Select the radio button next to the desired listing.
- Click Submit. A dialog box appears.
- Click Match and Claim to confirm that you want to take over this claimed listing.
- If there are no matches, or you are not confident that the match represents your location:
- Click on the Click here to create a Facebook listing or Click here to create a new page link. A dialog box appears.
- Click Create Listing to confirm that you would like to create a listing for the entity.
